Lovely mix of beers and ciders, a real ale drinkers paradise. No frills, good basic food, great atmosphere. Staff really know their ales.

One of the best pubs in town, closely followed by St Jude's, love the fact you can try before you buy and there is always a great choice of local and further a field beers.

The frequent beer festivals put this pup as a beacon for Real Ale in Ipswich. A large selection of beers are complimented with great service, and vibe. The only downside being the fruit machines and TV screens which can be avoided.

My local.Great range (24 ish excellent traditional beers, plus wines & spirits of all sorts). Good value (ie better prices than tied houses).
