Part of an excellent day out to Brownsea Island. This trip rounded both ends of our day out. This regular service to and from the island was an important part of day out

We parked at Studland (Free to NT members, £8 a day for others), took the chain ferry to Sandbanks (£1 for foot passengers but you only pay one way) and then caught the ferry to Brownsea from right next to the chain Ferry. Quick, efficient...More

A peaceful cruise to the Island (& back). Informative commentary on the return trip. Smooth crossing. Friendly crew plus a nice dog!

Lovely trip over to brownsea island. It only took about 20 minutes, but for the return a lovely trip around the islands in Poole harbour with a great commentary. Perfect end to a lovely day and would recommend.

Read some of the reviews on here and it did make me chuckle, rip off, boring journey, its a sea taxi service, gets you from A to B then back to A. Staff were great helping people on and off the boat, very safe

A very good experience; ferry to Brownsea and subsequent "guided" cruise around the Harbour back to Poole Quay. Running every half hour this service whilst not cheap (£11.50 each), is fuss free, simple and great value.

Cheaper ferry is from Sandbanks as it is a shorter crossing (£6.50 as I recall) Free access to island if you are a NT member.

As a NT member I would strongly recommend that you go from Sandbanks. Drive to South Haven Point (OS Map OL15 Ref:036867) via Wareham and Corfe then take the B3351. There is a NT car park at South Haven Point where you can... More
