O K as a ferry goes. The crew don't wear life jackets, but are efficient and it runs on time. Don't go if it is foggy or high winds as they do not run.

Pros: vehicles only need to pay on the Studland end, cards now accepted, saves a long detour via Wareham, only takes a few minutes once on. Cons: cost is high (over £9 for two journeys), no return ticket option. Worth using but wish they'd drop...More

There is a charge of £4.50 for a car, you pay at a kiosk on the other side of Sandbanks. It was quick and easy to use although I understand the queues can be long in the peak season.

Yes you can pay £4.50 and take the ferry from Sandbanks to Studland and park in the NT parking in Studland, then go over the ferry from Studland to Sandbanks to take the boat to Brownsea Island or other boat trips, then go... More

Yes public toilets are open.
