Naturally beautiful, with its golden sand, Sandbanks Beach has been designated by the European Commission as one of the few areas in the United Kingdom which has achieved the highest standard of cleanliness. Sandbanks has held the highly coveted international Blue Flag for the past 24 years and offers a designed area for barbeques and swimmers. New slacklining posts have been installed. Equipment is available to hire from the beach office. Activities at Sandbanks include crazy golf, a children's play area and the Sandbanks Beach Cafe. The number 50 Wilts and Dorset bus from Bournemouth Station to Swanage stops near to the beach (generally every half hour in the summer). There is a car park next to the beach that holds 550 cars, 5 for disabled use.

Clean sand, great facilities and life guards on duty are just some of the attractions of Sandbanks beach. The beach itself stretches along the Dorset coast, with Poole harbour and Studland to one side and Bournemouth to the other, on a hot summers day you...More

Fantastic, safe and clean beach, in my opinion, one of the best in Britain. It is located on the South Coast between the seaside towns of Poole and Bournemouth.

Great sand, very few stones compared to Boscombe beach. gently shelving waters make it reasonably safe for kids, plenty of passing boats to watch.

Having lived in and nearby would heartily recommend for beaches, safe bathing, water sports, restaurants etc. Not a place to live though - crowded with tourists in summer and like living in the middle of the sea in winter!

Amazing place! Although can be quite expensive (used to higher class clientele!) everyone was extremely friendly and the beach was like being abroad (minus the cold weather!) absolutely worth a visit and when I return to that side of the country again will definitely stay...More

Made a fleeting visit whilst in the area, having not visited for a number of years. Parked easily a short distance away. The beach was quiet as the weather was rather cool. Just as I remembered, a wonderful sandy beach.

Lovely dog friendly area of Sandbanks. Lots of friendly dogs with their equally friendly humans. Numerous bins for disposal of waste. Wash off areas plus a really modern dog washing machine! Numerous bowls of fresh water available at cafes along the promenade. Very welcoming

No off free-street parking that I'm aware of! Parking isn't cheap but you get what you pay for:.. as in a really lovely beach, cafe and children's pay area.
