Beautiful cathedral very helpful and friendly staff. Went to a funeral service recently but the acoustics were poor and difficult to make out what the speakers were saying. Spent many a quiet minute inside during the day.

If visiting Wakefield a visit to the cathedral should be on your list. We were fortunate to be there whilst the organ was being played which added to the atmosphere. Staff friendly.

A real oasis of beauty in the city centre. There's a remarkable rood screen and some beautiful wood furnishings. A modern reworking of a medieval labyrinth complements the building too. It's calm and beautiful, well worth popping in

It's big innit ? you can see why they lock the doors at night, they have some splendid artifacts inside, well worth popping in next time your doing your shopping, you'll be surprised how long you'll be in there.

Yes, plenty of places. It’s in the town centre, so there are plenty of cafes/restaurants nearby.
