the fun farm was one of the best places ive ever taken my little boy and i am really sad it has now closed. the owner genuinally loved the children and his farm, my little boy loved having a ride on the famers tractor to feed the sheep and holding all the animals ive never been any where where kids are so liked and encouraged to join in, even play hay fights. the owner is very enthusiatic, taunton is rubbish theres nothing for the young kids to do especially now fun farm has gone . it was 300 % better than animal farm u cnt even compare the 2.

The farmer there is slightly eccentric! The children enjoyed their afternoon.

One of the best!
I have been visiting the fun farm for a few years now. There's no place like it! The owners are genuine they take so much time entertaining the children with sheep feeding, tractor rides and animal corner a genuine enthusiasm that is very infectious!

Yes it's expensive but Im happy paying, it certainly keeps the trouble makers away. Yes the children can ride the sheep but they are supported at all times. I appreciate the bubble wrap is left at home when visiting here. We are so PC this decade!

great for kids
the barell ride is fun but sometimes can hurt your back. Feeding the animals is quite fun and there are trampolines to jump on. The food they do is good but sometimes they don't have comrlete control of the animals they keep in the main building. Nice people though.

The children loved the place and we spent the whole afternoon there. Great value for the kids but it's a shame the adults have to pay so much, as there isn't a lot for adults to do! The owners were lovely and very friendly. Sheep feeding was fun, I read the post about sheep riding and how dangerous it could be, come on, the children loved it, in my opinion it was fine and comments like that stop a place like this being fun! The whole afternoon for 2 adults and 2 children cost us about 25 quid, much cheaper than some attractions! Worth a visit.

The Fun Farm Great Value For Money And Lots Of Fun
I disagree with the moaners in the last 2 reviews. We have been coming to The Fun Farm for the past 4 years. We love it so much that we have an annual family ticket and also have our childrens birthday parties here. There is so much to do. The owners are always enthusiastic and want both children and adults alike to have FUN! I know they have a visitor comment book and it is full of praise for this family run business. As for parties they have had the same price since opening and it is great value for money. There are a few coin operated rides but there are at all attractions. I urge all potential visitors to visit The Fun Farm, it's the best day out in Somerset and the best value for money. The animal feeding and reptile handling are hands on - what more could you want from a farm? It's a shame that a few peoples opinions spoil it for the rest.

SO EXPENSIVE - DANGEROUS RIDES ON SHEEP
Not only do you pay a fortune to enter but then so many other things once inside are extra such as £2 for a short barrel ride. You could spend an arm and a leg.
At animal feeding time adults and children are encouraged to feed the sheep. The sheep are boisterous and given bottles of milk whilst children are placed on there backs and ridden - so dangerous. An accident waiting to happen.
Miserable owners - zero hospitality.
Will not bother again. There are much better places to take children.
Dont waste your money.

Only Interested in money not customers
On my previous visit to the Fun Farm my son had a bad fall in the small indoor play area and suffered quite a bad nose bleed. I went to the reception where a young girl just gave me some toilet paper and asked me to clear up the blood from the floor. Not even a mention to my sons' welfare whom was covered in blood.
Despite this lack of interest my son decided he would like his birthday party at The Fun Farm. On arrival the owner immediatley wanted to know how many children were coming then went on to tell me that the party price only included one child and one adult entry, any more adults coming would be charged extra. At this point she still wasnt interested in the main fact that it was my sons birthday but only how much money could be gained.
The fun farm is the most expensive childs birthday party in Taunton at £10 a head, - no party bags included either - if both mummy and daddy want to be involved at the party then they want even more cash.
I was not happy and made that clear and was spoken to like dirt in return and told in no uncertain terms that I should have read this prior to coming.
The attitude of this owner was absolutley dispicable and has ruined what was supposed to be such a special day.
I never had an apology and will not visit the Fun Farm again. Unfortunatley this is a complaint I have heard previously from other parents - this is no way to treat customers.

These people run this in such a passionate fashion! This really is back to the good old days. Have visited various times and am always pleased with the service. The children can feed the sheep and even ride the sheep on occasions! The food is basic but it's not meant to be a bistro and service and cleanlyness are spot on. The seating is plentyfull. Animals are brought out for the children to pet.. Birds, snakes, turtles you name it! Free range of the farm and security is good too. I love this place it's so not commercial!
