Visited on a running day last September. Lots of different trains to ride two different size gauge. Also inexpensive and nice cafe in clubhouse. It was a great detour while traveling home. Recommended but check running as only opens to public odd Sundays and some bank holidays. We would have come back for the Santa special in December but unfortunately... More

Its not going to take hours to go round, may be 10 minutes but its great fun and in nice weather even better. Ive been there 4 times now with the family and if you've got an hour or so I would recommend it,... More

Wonderful day out for children and adults of all ages. The station setting is very tidy, main train line is a good ride, some of the trains go at quite a pace. There are smaller trains at the other end of the site to add extra interest and experience. Good selection of interesting and well modelled Loco's and enthusiast's happy... More

This is model engineers club that has a ride on train line and a cafe attached. It's free to get in and £2 or £1 for a train ride depending on which train which is amazing value. The cafe which is a bit like a W.I volunteers operation is just ideal, decent sausage rolls/pork pies and cakes and tea and... More

It's a great way to spend couple of hours when the kids get bored in the afternoon. Theirs a cafe which is not very expensive. The volunteers that runs it were very helpful. My son surprisingly enjoyed it . I will definitely recommend this place.

I live local and have been many times. My children love the trains. It's great fun run by enthusiasts who love to show off their hobby. Well done to them all. Take a picnic or have a cuppa at the small cafe.

The railway is run by enthusiasts who make you very welcome. There are a selection of various gauges of track with steam, diesel and electric engines. They run on selected weekends and occasional midweek, plus Santa Specials, details on their website. There is a small tea room which seems to be the place where visiting adults (without children) left their... More

Just spent a couple of hours here. Absolutely fabulous for kids and adults. Great watching and riding all the trains. Only things I can think of to improve/enhance this attraction is, build a little tunnel half way up the main track and provide tea/coffee when at the smaller tracks. Could have easily spent longer here. Extremely reasonable costs, nothing expensive.... More

Driven past here many times and didn't realise this gem was tucked away. Run by the enthusiasts, all good fun, polite and clearly passionate about their hobby - We loved it as much as the children!
