A good place to visit to fill a period of boredom. Play areas and café but also a really good display of transport through the ages , particularly all the old carriages and so on. You are best to go on a good weather day to be honest. Most suited to 6-10 year olds I would suggest albeit that we... More

Went along to the country fair yesterday. It was ok. Had a good few hours walk around . Bit disappointed by lack of information on the carriages in the museum. And most of the 'hands on' exhibits are broken. The bee walk through was also very run down. Kids enjoyed the play area.

My elderly sister travelled over from Northampton with her small dog to attend the Farmers Fair (16th April 17) No where on the website does it say no dogs, most farmers market/fairs one is able to take the dog along as kept on a lead. We were refused entry because of her small dog. The dog could not be left... More

Stockwood is usually a great place to visit but the Country Fair feels a rip off. If you charge for it then don't charge for all of the rides, which are expensive especially when compared to Willows Farm when all rides and bouncy castle are included

What a gem! We visited here today- the gardens are numerous with so many different types of trees and plants- the indoor exhibits are interesting with many tools, photos and facts- all clearly labelled. The restaurant had lots of food on offer all at very reasonable prices and the staff attentive in clearing and cleaning tables. The car park is... More

Great place to go for a day out with picnic opportunity. There are few smaller museums around the botanic garden. Sutable for families with small kids, friends and senior citizens. Free to visit. We spent there 3 hours with my partner and friends, but families with kids could spend there all day. Unfortunately you can't bring your dog with you.
