Visit in autumn after rain in the hills and when river has risen to watch salmon attempt the Black Lynn Falls. Watch also for the dippers and, on milder evenings for the Daubenton's bats skimming over the pool in moonlight.

It's only a half mile walk from the car park. The path was damp, covered with fallen leaves but not particularly muddy. It's worth it to see the falls and the quaint folly, even this second week in November. Lovely.

Stunning views of the waterfall. It wasn't busy when I was there so I was alone for quite a time and could enjoy it even more.

Just a short walk from the car park, alongside the burn and you come to this amazing place. Don't be tempted to go onto the bridge as this will spoil the surprise! Go up the steps, into the door of the Hall, wait until everyone...More

The wall is part of the Hermitage trail walk. It is a nice fall but not worth a long drive. I'm sure it is very pretty when the water is rushing and they've had a heavy rain.

I visited late in the evening when there very few people around. The trees and the viewing hall were magnificent.

The powerful waterfall and the fact that it rains a lot enhance the greenness of this beautiful place....it's worth visiting but avoid the rush hour.

Lovely day , weather fair , all geared up. A lovely easy walk , great for families , go 'off road' down to the river for a bit of scrambling adds to the adventure.
