We enjoyed the walk up to this temple. There were various routes you could take to get to the top although we didn't think these were very clearly marked. it was a pleasant walk and a lovely view.

Stayed in Buxton for a few days, came across this lovely place with sheltered forest walks, rolling countryside and a monument that offers spectacular views across Buxton form the top! We had a great couple of hours walking around... go visit it’s brilliant

We walked up from Poole's Cavern car park through the woods and on up to Solomon's Temple The view is breathtaking and it is a wonderful place to walk your dog

We went up from poole caves you can follow various routes up through the woods dogs loved it you can also use the grin low carpark other side

This is a brilliant country park, with large well managed woodland walks, and a very large expanse of open grassland above the woods at Solomons Temple. There are woodland trails, interesting wood carvings and information boards, as well as a 'go ape' ropeway. (not tested...More

Quite a stiff walk uphill from the caverns but worth doing. You have the choice of several paths through woodland and then the final 100 yards is over windswept remains of lime kilns. Wear sturdy shoes. Climb the spiral staircase to get wonderful views.

The main carpark isnt free but you can park on the streets adjacent to it.

there is a blue, green and yellow route and times are 45 mins 30 mins and 25 mins. distance roughly depends on route 1/4 mile to a mile.
