Knowledgeable, friendly staff are on hand at all times, in a spacious, relaxing atmosphere in which you can browse at leisure. ***New Cafe*** We are very excited to announce that High Peak Bookstore Cafe is now open for business! Come and join us for a freshly ground coffee (we are proud to serve Fair Trade), or sample one of our Gold Award winning, loose leaf Novus teas. We have scrumptious home made cakes and we serve light lunches such as salads, sandwiches, soups and paninis. Do come and see us soon! High Peak Bookstore and Cafe boasts a large, free car park with picnic tables, and the rivers Dove and Manifold are just a short distance away. We also welcome coaches and appointments are not always necessary.

We enjoyed an excellent Homity pie and a perfect jacket potato, but what impressed us most was the imaginative and beautifully dressed side salad. No limp lettuce here! A delicious mix including peppers, pine nuts and pomegranate seeds dressed with Balsamic dressing. Such a surprise!...More

I posted a review and a couple of photos in January when the cafe hadn't been opened long. My friend and I pop in regularly and my visiting family love the book section, especially the little ones, and the drink and cake treat afterwards. Nice...More

We love visiting this book store whenever we visit Buxton. There are lots to choose from. Bargains can be found here. The staff are friendly and helpful.
