Poole’s Cavern is the most spectacular natural cavern in the Peak District. Wonder at the amazing crystal formations which adorn the vast illuminated chambers on a one hour guided tour. Discover the home of the cave dwellers and learn about their lives in our new exhibition centre. Enjoy a tasty meal in the Cavern Café and explore the fossil and gemstone shop. Stroll through Buxton country park woodlands to the panoramic viewpoint of Solomon’s Temple.

An unexpectedly good cave tour after a last minute addition to our day. We've been to quite a few cave tours such as the Gouffre caves in the Dordogne. These don't come quite up to those standards, but do compare well and you don't have...More

Yes, it's a cave. It's underground and full of the usual formations you find in a cave. I've visited many caves and can confirm this is a cave too. However. The guide ( Ashley ?) was informative, funny and entranced the kids 4,12 & 13....More
