Visited today with husband and 7 year old son. Guided tour around 45 munutes ling. Hubby and son weren't that impressed but i enjoyed it. Very informative. Think little over priced. We got a discount due to where we were staying £19 for 3 of us but wouldn't have been happy to pay full price. Pay and display car park... More

This is a great little place to visit, just a shortish stroll from Buxton town centre. Really impressive inside and an interesting tour. The cafe attached to the cavern is nice, and if you sit by the window you can watch birds and cunning squirrels on the feeders, which was a real delight!

This was a great visit - unexpected as it looked touristy from the outside. An interesting way of seeing Caverns especially if you dont fancy potholing, and informative. Visit lasts about 50 minutes and that is the right slice

Visited Poole's cavern this week and thoroughly enjoyed the 45 minute tour. The guy leading the tour was excellent. He gave an excellent narrative explaining the history and geology of the cavern. The cafe area and surrounding area are very good and I'd also suggest you take a walk up to Solomon's Temple.
