Poole’s Cavern is the most spectacular natural cavern in the Peak District. Wonder at the amazing crystal formations which adorn the vast illuminated chambers on a one hour guided tour. Discover the home of the cave dwellers and learn about their lives in our new exhibition centre. Enjoy a tasty meal in the Cavern Café and explore the fossil and gemstone shop. Stroll through Buxton country park woodlands to the panoramic viewpoint of Solomon’s Temple.

Came across this place by accident and decided to visit. It is a SSSI, so it is understandable that no dogs (apart from assist dogs) are allowed to enter the cavern. My friend was a little dubious as she gets claustrophobic, but the very helpful...More

Visited with my family. Visitor centre was very warm with nice coffee, and the tour was fascinating and the perfect length of time to take in all of the interesting parts of the cave. The tour guide Ewan was very engaging and knowledgeable.
