Well tended grounds with fabulous wrought iron gates (needing a little lick of paint in parts) at the entrance. The grounds extend to the front and back.

Warrington town hall is often used as a Coroners court and so its architecture can often be seen on TV news. It’s an unlikely building for a town hall and doesn’t actually have a hall . The Council Chamber is tiny and not really suited...More

Driving out of Warrington, drove past the Town Hall with its impressive gilded metal gates. So stopped to take a closer look and up close you can really see the workmanship that went into forging them. Well worth a look.

Worth a visit but don't look down. Sankey Street is easily the filthiest part of the town centre. Needs a scrub.

Looks such an impressive building with the gates that should have been at Buckingham palace. Unfortunately when Queen Victoria saw the gates a Statue of Oliver Cromwell was behind them. So she didn't want them

Warrington Town Hall lies very close to the shops Golden Square, just away from Palmyra Square and all the local hostelries. Yet it is a place that is often ignored, if not forgotten. It's a shame, because as a building, gardens and location, it is...More
