Fairhaven Lake is one of the borough's most popular attractions. Nestled between Lytham and St Anne's, a salt water lake, positioned directly on the coast next to Granny's Bay and Stanner Bank.

Enjoy the many recreational facilities provided, motorboat, canoe and rowing boat hire. For the less adventurous there is an electrically powered motor launch, enjoy the cruise and enjoy the scenery from the launch on a 10-15 min cruise.

Lakeside facilities include a cafe and the RSPB Discovery Centre. The lake is one of the most important wildfowl locations in Europe, with a group of more than 250 Canada Geese, several Swans (including a solitary Black one) and many coots, water hens and other smaller fowl.

The lake has boating power & non-powered, swans moorhens and many other birds. There is an RSPB cabin during the day. At one end is a replica Spitfire on a pole, built to be like one that the town funded during the second World War. Unfortunately, it was shot down over the channel with the loss of the twenty year... We were visiting friends in the area. They took us for a stroll around Fairhaven Lake. Parking is free on the road opposite. There is a large model spitfire and information panels at the entrance. It blew away the cobwebs as it is close to the sea. An exhilarating stroll in November sunshine.

Always in the area Christine and I like to walk round the lake. It blows the cobwebs off, puts body and soul back and you can always get a good drinkk either at the top end near main entrance or at the cafe half way round.

A pleasure since childhood - worth visiting for a wander, spot of bird watching, or a cup of tea in the cafe. The RSPB centre is always worth dropping into.

Went for a great walk around the lake and the amenities on a cold day in November. A truly lovely walk plenty to see and do , but not on Mondays --- everywhere closed !! Still a lovely walk . Boating available. Really worth the effort .

Fairhaven is such a loverly little spot to have a walk and visit the ducks. The Lake could do with a bit of a tidy up but dont let it stop you having a loverly brisk walk around it. The cafe is ok and the coffee not bad but a bit old fashioned. The park is now updated and the... More

Living locally we love going to the lake for a walk and on a crisp autumn day it is perfect. The beach on one side and the lake with lots of people walking in famillies, couples and singles. Good space for the dogs too (not that we have any)
