Just off the high street and easy to get to it appeals to young and old. Just being refurbished it is an important part of Lymington.

It is ok for a small town. It tries to invoke some feeling of age and experience where Lymington is concerned. Nice people run it, very helpful too.

A small museum with friendly staff. Good displays and very descriptive history, worth checking out if you are interested in the local history.

Local museums deserve all the support they can get - we should take pride in the civic heritage of Britain. Lymington's own museum is slightly tucked away which may explain the relatively low footfall. It has an interesting collection of artefacts which tells to story...More

This is a wonderful museum with a good local exhibition. The visiting exhibitions are of a high standard and on occasion exceptional.

St Barbe have a plethora of exhibitions and talks coming this year so don't forget to come and visit. Not just a museum and art gallery but somewhere to meet for coffee, information leaflets on things near and far with a majority of mixed expertise....More

A very well presented exhibition of artists depicting the south coastline with very varied styles. We were lucky to be in Lymington before it ended at the weekend. There is regular display of social history during the ages, many exhibits jogging the memory!! We visited...More

Visited St.Barbe this month to view the Shoreline Artists Exhibition which has been held since September,and last day is 9th January.The subject of the paintings is how artists from the 18th Century to present day,have drawn inspiration along England Southern Coastline.Very Enjoyable.
