Have walked parts of the trail but not all the way around. The paths are flat and well kept with seats along the route. Great for bird watching and tree spotting, also to watch the gliders. Refreshment stops at Kinross, Loch Leven's Larder and the...More

We followed the Heritage Trail for part of the way, walking on a mixture of hardcore paths and some boardwalks along the side of the Loch. Good flat walking conditions, with plenty of open space, will need to return for a longer wander.

Such a lovely place to go for a walk, 13 miles or so of easy going scenic paths. There are many seats rough out the walk to stop and take in the views of the loch or the surrounding hills. We hit a day where...More

My partner and I were found this walk absolutely lovely. Pre-warning though, it is very long (we are regular walkers with two dogs and it took us 5 hours) The trail takes you past Kinross House, RSPB nature reserves and skirts the Loch nicely. Both...More

Best on a dry day - the boat trip over is only partially covered and it was quite breezy even on a fine day. The kids (6 & 7) enjoyed the trip - only about 15 mins, not enough time to get seasick! Nice views...More

We experienced this walking path on the banks of Loch Leven - and even on a windy day it seemed sheltered enough to be fully enjoyed. There is an interesting graveyard located next to it, as well as a well equipped playground for children.

Myself and kids took a lovely walk here today. Plenty of parking at a couple of points. The trail itself is well paved throughout and with constant views of the beautiful loch. Will have to take a visit to the castle the next visit! Highly...More

We have now completed the walk twice this month and the track- all 13.1 miles of it, is well laid, clear and accessible to most if not all. It is at least even and only has two very small hills near the RSPB area. These...More

I decided to have a walk around the trail after a late breakfast this morning - and dragged my poor, long suffering wife with me! We started walking in an anti-clockwise direction from Loch Leven Lodges but there are several areas around the Loch where...More

Does anyone know any information about the abandoned Orwell Church and graveyard along the walk? It's off the main path but looks very interesting. Finding information about it is proving difficult!

This is the old cemetery for the parish of Orwell. The church was also on this site but it was moved to Milnathort in the seventeen hundreds. Some very old and interesting gravestones.
