Plenty to see and interesting learning about the history of the area. Children also enjoyed it as has been well designed for their age.

Fantastic well laid-out informative experience for all ages. Good value for money at £20 for family of five. Especially loved the old smoke houses and the fact that 40 years after closing they still smell of smoked herring. Great for a rainy day.

Hello - the museum is open daily (at the moment Mon-Fri 10am-4pm, Sat-Sun 12-4pm). From 29 March 2018 we change to Summer hours and will be open 10am-4.30pm each day.
