Drive past this monument at dusk it's quite spooky really. Apparently the most popular visitor attraction in the UK.

I really find this Sculpture a little on the overrated side.It is huge with a wing span of over 40 metres and driving past the Angel of the North on a few occasions recently has not convinced us that this statue is worth a closer inspection...a rusty piece of "art" if ever we saw one,it is situated close to the... Not as imposing as we expected. We thought it would be high up on top of a hill. Did not expect to see it right next to A1

You can see this iconic and magnificent statue from the A1 motorway about a mile away (coming into Newcastle). There is nothing that will give you an idea of its size and scope unless you go and stand at the bottom of it and take a picture. It is seriously HUGE and an amazing piece of art and engineering. Just... More

It's a nice place to stop a enjoy some food, if you're having a long drive. The wings are huge, and you can see it from the road. It's not worth going way off course to see, but if you're in the area, do stop.

Very busy with tourists but parking available as visitors stop to browse and take pictures then move on. Worth stopping to take pictures and time to reflect.

Visited the angel on a very rainy day, there was a coffee and an ice cream van on location... but someone is missing out on a business of postcards, that's the only reason I stopped oh and to say I'd been!

Simply fantastic it does not take long, but it is worth to see, it is an impressive size, and do not forget all that it represents.
