Makes you proud to be Northern. A beautiful sculpture very inspiring.Please turn off the motorway ,spend a few minutes relaxing at the base of the Angel and take in the view.

we were visiting from the states. Our friends told us the Angel just pops up out of nowhere and that is true It gets very windy so bundle up but just incredible

Nothing super special about it, as in there is nothing there other than the angel, no toilets, cafe, etc, just a landmark. However, it is worth pulling up to visit, get a couple photographs after walking up to it. Then you can scratch it off...More
