On holiday in Norfolk saw the sign so decided to visit. Well what an amazing experience. The displays are fantastic. They put it all into perspective. Then to visit the farm. The machinery is well set out. I found the experience overwhelming. Thank you

Visited with our family, excellent displays, really brought home of what it was for young people to live in very different times, bed to work, and work to bed. At least for the children in the workhouse they had an opportunity to receive some education. Although it's across a road from the museum and workhouse, take time to visit the... More

Thoroughly enjoyed our visit here... Plenty to see in the workhouse, farm and many other exhibits. The information was well presented and made history 'fun'. Recommend it for all ages. The smells in the laundry brought it to life.. Don't miss the 1950's room..

Visit with family and friends, very informative and good fun, all ages enjoyed it. We especially enjoyed the farm walk and the workhouse information. Go and smell the smelly smells in the laundry!

Idea for both fine and wet days. Friendly staff lots to do for all ages. Picknic area and a cafe with home prepared food. Educational for youngsters and a "I remember those" For the grown ups.

We took our friends and their children here for the day and had a great time. There's lots to see and do, and children aged 3-12 all enjoyed it. There is lots to learn about the workhouse, things to see, interesting places such as the school house and the chapel to visit. The farm and play area were a big... More

Visited with friends. Wonderful workhouse tour with volunteer Barbara. Wow what knowledge. Highly recommended. Certainly a good collection of farm machinery, and life in times gone by. Quite an emotional historical place and certainly when you look into the wall of names, ages etc. A visit to the laundry and men's work yard felt quite moving. Nice cafe for food... More

Went for the first time here today, always wanted to visit. Had fun walking around the whole site with our 4 year old, along by the river, watching the tractor and trailer taking people round the farm. Looking at the old farm machinery and learning about how life was like for children in the workhouse etc. Great place to go,... More

Visited here March 8th & what a place. Everything is signposted up well & so many different parts to see inside & out. There is a lot off holographic information which really makes you realise how lucky we are now & hits you more as makes you feel like you are being spoken to by the poor souls who were... More
