A trip off the main road from Callender to Crianlarich

Rob Roy's grave is set in the most beautiful place, well worth the trip. The views around and about are amazing.

We cycled from Killin to Callander, and back again........what a great day. Don't let the challenging hills in the woods put you off, remember you will fly down them on the way back home. You cycle on old railway lines, along rivers and by lochs. The views are spectacular, and the cycling fun. We are fit, (and 53) but not... More

Once you get off the main A84 (?) road, you will have to contend with a single track road into this 'hamlet'. The church is quite a sight (both inside and out), and one can pay homage to "Rob Roy", who is buried in the churchyard. The 'recommended' short walk starts from the back of the church and one of... This review concerns the Cycle route between Callander and Glen Ogle head in the Trossachs national park. This is a 23 mile section of the cycle route 7 which travels for 214 miles between Glasgow and Inverness. The route starts in the main carpark in Callander by the park and follows the old railway routes towards Lochearnhead and Killin. Passing... More

What a fantastic cycle trail, nearly all off road on the old railway and only from Strathyre to balqyhidder do you go on the road but even then its a very quiet road, we only came across one car on the journey. Definitely will go back and cycle it again, highly recommend it.

This is a great walk and it doesn't take very long. The only thing I had concerns about was the space on either side of the huge impressive bridge. I have a small child who likes to explore and I'm afraid I couldn't let him do this in fear of him tripping and end up in the torrent of water.... More
