The World has moved on since the 50s and this is not my idea of a Resort Beach or a Riviera. It is tired, pebbly, lacking attraction of waves or beach. Horses for courses but will not be back.

We had read about Weymouth, but never visited & loved the curving beach sheltered by buildings that have been around for years. It was like entering another world.

Forty years since here last. Lots of changes but keeping up with the present as well as celebrating the past with memories if sand sculptures. Very blustery, showery day but beach and panorama still delightful.

The beach goes on and on like a horseshoe shape. The sand is golden. The beach is really well looked after. There are plenty of amusements and activities on and around the beach front. Weymouth in general is a place I will always go back...More
