It was a bit chilly and damp, but the water was calm, staff friendly, facilities for tea and coffee on the boat. The services are frequent so you can fit it in with walks, lunches or just a round trip.

Great staff who were friendly and knowledgeable. The boat itself was glorious, and immaculate. Pricing is a tad high

Have taken two trips from Bowness: one to Ambleside and one to Lakeside. It's a very relaxing way to spend an afternoon. My only criticism is that the commentary, which I would have been very interested in, was barely audible.

They loved it. It was a little chilly but we were well wrapped up. A good explanation of certain viewpoints/sites. This was the blue route as it was 45 mins and just enough for a 5 and 2 year old.
