Windermere Lake cruises connect various points around the Lake Windermere. They have different lines connecting different parts of the Lake, which I found to be very confusing and can be made easier and less complicated. I will advise a ride just to experience the natural beauty around the place. We took the ride from Bowness which connected us to Brockhole... More

Got the walkers ticket yesterday and this is an open travel ticket so you can walk and cruise round the lake all day it was only £10.80 each but you can get on as many times as you like all in all good value for money .

Really enjoyed a trip on the swan to lakeside ,it caters for pets and wheel chair users with ramps on board and cafe for brinks and snacks ,and most wonderful sights. Don,t forget the train ride to great cafe at the end for a scrumptious cream tea.

It seemed a good idea to sit up top on the 45 minute cruise but once we were off and running the pretty full deck all started disappearing down below inside the boat. That said the cruise was enjoyable and the captain ensured that we knew more about the lake and surrounding area than we did before we got on.

we have taken a lake cruise at least once a year for as long as i can remember.. and we never grow tired of them. This was our second time at bowness this year. We took a launch (smaller of the boats) on the red cruise...to ambleside. For late April it was cold....very.... but warm inside the cabin. The cruise... More

We took the boa from Lakeside to Bowness (having taken the steam train from Haverthwite to Lakeside). The route itself is beautiful and the boat is spacious (no need to rush on board!). We went during the Easter holidays and there was plenty of space. In addition to the open air decks there is a full enclosed area and a... More
