What a wonderful time we had on the Cruise. I expect it gets quite crowded in the peak season, but there is plenty of boats so you should not have to wait too long.

We took the ferry to Ambleside I think it was a tenner per person return-and it was fantastic value for money. What a brilliant way to spend a marvellous sunny day in the Lake District

We were visiting family in Wigan so decided to spend a day at Windermere. We went on a blue island boat trip which lasted 45 minutes which was just enough to appreciate the beautiful lake

There are various places to go to from Bowness-on-Windermere but on this occasion we took the simple 45 minute round the islands trip. A lovely experience.
