We visited here after being recommended it and we did arrive too late for one of the tours which meant we were too early for the next one (just be careful as they seem to run every hour so try to turn up just before the hour!! And they finish at 3pm) however we did grab lunch in the tearoom.... More

Stayed here for a week, lovelly accomodation. Friendly helpful staff and the tour of the manor was really interesting. If you like a quiet spot with just the hoot of owls at night and the cry of buzzards during the day then this is the place. Atmospheric location, lovelly gardens and a good tea shop too.

I have been here a few times now and have enjoyed every single visit. The histoy behind the place is fascinating. What I particularly like about the tours of Chambercombe Manor is that the guides will tailor it to suit you so if you're interested in the paranormal then they will take that focus, alternatively if you're more interested in... Interesting (haunted) property. A little expensive £9 for guided tour which was interesting. Pleasant setting with lovely gardens and tea room

A dull day but not at Chambercombe. A cheery welcome, a nice small well stocked shop and an excellent licensed cafe. For only £5 (unless you are Friends of the Historic Houses Association - well worth while!) you get a free flow tour of a fascinating old manor house mentioned in the Domesday Book and set out mainly as a... What an incredible setting and the house is just full of history. Loved the extensive gardens so well worth spending some time there. The house they say is haunted but didn't notice anything of the paranormal on my visit. Did enjoy some love?y tea and scones in the pleasant tea rooms though. Well worth a visit.

I went to Chambercombe Manor with my daughters/granddaughters and we all loved it! The house was very interesting and the guides very friendly and told us a lot about the house even thought there were no guided tours that day. The gentleman who worked in the gift shop also came in and talked to us..you could see he loved the... More

Today my wife and visited the manor, we went on a guided tour, the guide was great fun, plenty of humour from her made the visit far better than i thought it would , the manor itself is very old and has plenty of history which made it more interesting, some of the rooms im sure could be haunted, a... I took my granddaughter to Chambercombe Manor last week & in one of the bedrooms I was overcome by a strong smell of jasmine. I had to sit down & the guidebexplained that a little girl had died of consumption many years ago & to mask the smell, jasmine had been used. In the chapel I saw a figure clothed... More
