Beautifully kept. Can imagine how grandeur this mansion was at one time. Very close to Stirling Castle and can get free entry as part of the castle tour.

Came here as part of the Stirling Castle ticket, interesting little property and a great free tour with lots of historical points you might otherwise miss

Not open until 2.15 on the Saturday I visited. Entry included in ticket for castle. Disappointed with number of rooms open but was told rest of building was historic Scotland offices etc.

Entrance fee is included in that for Stirling Castle. Make sure you take one of the guided tours or you will miss so much background information about the house.

Only found out about this place by chance from staff at the castle. Castle ticket gets free entry to here which is great value for sure. Truly worth a visit. You step back in time with very good and well restored and beautifully presented rooms of the period. Staff were truly helpful and friendly. Well done everyone.

On the way down the hill to the train station from Stirling Castle we were approached by a member of HES Staff who told us that if we'd been in the Castle we got free entry to Argylls Lodging. We popped in and the staff were friendly and explained the building to us. While not a huge amount to see... More

Didnt go in because it was closed the day I went but it is a beatiful place and right on the way up to the castle. Can miss it because the sign is very small.

As part of the ticket price to visit Stirling Castle you also have free entry to Argyll's Lodging which i was very eager to view .A grand 17th century town mansion house that was once owned by the Earl of Stirling and then passed into the hands of the 9th Earl of Argyll who had it extended to its present... Visited as part of the ticket deal for Stirling Castle. Really enjoyed looking around this really interesting house. Love the cushioned loo upstairs, might think about that at home

It is great to understand some of the ancient history of this place especially with the help of the very knowledgeable guides. Doesn't take long and is included in the price of visiting Stirling Castle
