A charming place to visit in April and May

A delightful garden, really well planned, with great views over the weald, a good cafe and well-stocked plant sales. The Yetti is a fun addition!

We enjoyed our visit to this beautiful garden, reminds me very much of Tresco in Scilly Iles so much to see and wonderful trees and flowers. What spoiled the trip was the café, lovely building and seating outside but the content of the refreshments was very poor, cup of tea over £2, small sausage roll £3, dull selection of cakes... More

Had a great day out here with our 3 year old granddaughter. The grounds are amazing. Would definitely recommend the ploughman for lunch. All local food.

We had a wonderful time at Riverhill yesterday. They take such care with everything there, the food is obviously home made and delicious, the gardens are so well looked after, and the views are the best in Kent. We'll definitely be back.

Such lovely gardens with fantastic views across The Weald of Kent. Very well kept with lovely tea rooms. We sat outside in the sunshine , good coffee and a lovely homemade scone with clotted cream and ham. Well deserved after the hour and half spent walking round the gardens. Also a nice little gift shop with plants for sale too.... More

Visited on a fine day. Beautiful rhododendrons and azaleas but some dodgy pathways. The woodland walk up to the viewpoint is lovely and the bluebells were quite stunning but the path is quite dangerous in places; the alternative return journey needs to be signposted better We decided to have scones with cream and jam but they were very underdone and... We decided to visit Riverhill on Bank Holiday Monday to see the bluebells and we weren't disappointed. They were stunning. It was the best example of a carpet of blue that I have ever seen. We took a leisurely stroll through the gardens enjoying all the beautiful flowers; azaleas, camelias and rodedendrums. We will definitely be back.

A beautiful calming place, the grounds are stunning as are the views. So much to see and such a variety of plants, gardens and walks. The cafe service was very friendly, with plenty of choice for food and drinks. Definitely worth a visit, would recommend to anyone.

Fabulous walk through carpet after carpet of bluebells - absolutely glorious! The rhododendrons and azaleas are just coming into their own too so wonderful contrasting purples, reds and pinks. Well worth a visit. Glad we went early - there was a long queue when we left!
