We visited this castle on the recommendation of a friend (who happens to be a Burnett) and it turned out to be a most interesting place, a real insight into Scottish high society and the feudal structures that survived into modernity. The really spectacular experience...More

Went to Crathes Castle with two school aged children, lovely drive up to the Castle which is really well signposted and easy to find. There is loads to do here, there's a Go Ape climbing centre within the grounds, coffee shop, play park, a number...More

An interesting visit, plenty to see and lovely gardens. The outbuildings have changed a bit since 1979 when a Youth hostel was finished by apprentices from HMS Caledonia

This is the picture postcard ideal of a Scottish castle. The castle itself can be toured at your own pace with guides in certain rooms to assist. Plenty of history to find out about and a ghost story as well (every good castle needs one)!...More

Lovely castle in beautiful surroundings. A National Trust property. Great historical detail if your name is Burnett. Owned by the Burnett clan for centuries. Gardens well kept.
