One of my favorite spots to walk or drive over. From the bridge, you get to see so much of the majesty of the area. From this vantage point, you see the mighty Rouche de Boule (Stekyoden) overlooking New Hazelton, and then Nine Mile Mountain on the opposite side.
The best part by far is looking down at the Bulkley River underneath. In the summer, you might be able to catch some kayakers going down the canyon and around the bend.
I recommend walking across this bridge, it is just thrilling to stand on top of a historial site.

This bridge is unique and steeped in history. There are old photos you can google of the the ancient crossing made by Indigenous people. Today there is plenty of room for parking on both sides of the bridge to facilitate a breathtaking experience of walking across the bridge. The deck is made of a steel crosshatching that allows snow to go through and you can see the river between your feet! It can be frightening but mostly it is exciting and safe to use the walkway. I cross this bridge hundreds of times through the year and never tire of the experience.

Take a moment to stop on both sides of the bridge for different viewpoints as there is parking for several cars.

I have driven over this bridge numerous times over the years. On my last trip, just a week or go I felt very vulnerable for some reason. Perhaps it is being an octogenarian.

I have always taken the time to stop and share the excitement of walking out on the walkway on either side of this one-lane bridge with friends who visit. It is high above the Bulkley Canyon between New Hazelton and Old Hazelton. When you're out in the middle of the bridge, if you have the nerve to walk that far, there's a stunning view of Roche de Boule, the mountain that dominates the landscape of the area. The bridge has a see-through bottom, the structure allows the winter snows to fall through yet provide a safe overpass of the river. There is good parking on either side of the bridge.

Drive down and read historical marker. It is a one lane bridge crossing over a gorge. Absolutely beautiful and a great story on the market.

This is a regular car bridge across a stunning canyon. The Bulket River rushes by below and majestic mountain peaks tower to the south. 5 minute walk across the bridge is a must.

This old steel bridge is quite interesting. It's all steel even the roadway is steel grating which makes your car 'float'. The surrounding and the river gorge it crosses is quite spectacular too.

This one lane bridge is a one of kind for the north. It has an amazing view of surrounding mountains and a spectacular view of canyon below.

If you have some extra time and are in the area, this is worth seeing. The bridge is a single lane and car/trucks weight their turn to cross. Traffic in the area very light. There is an area on the East side of the bridge to park your car and you can walk across on the left and right sides.
It is a thrill to walk across but the view is amazing and breathtaking.
On the North side you can see the old footings from the old bridge.
Even more amazing was that the aboriginals created a bridge here long before any Europeans ever settled here. Can you imagine?!
There is hiking in the area that can take you down into the gorge and river below.
