- Marissa TGold Coast, Australia78 contributionsOne of the best things we've done in Bali! Amazing!!!This place is amazing! The photos just don't do it justice. It was AU$25 including entry, English speaking guide, towel, locker and lunch - great value for money. Right from the start it was so much fun. Prepared to get wet! Some parts are chest high deep and wear joggers or swim shoes if you have them as parts can be slippery too. So much fun though. We had an awesome, friendly and funny guide, who helped us through the harder parts and pointed out things we probably would have missed. He took heaps of photos and videos for us along the way. And be sure to give your guide a tip at the end, they deserve it! We will definitely be doing this again next visit.Visited September 2023Travelled with friendsWritten October 25, 2023
- blondy_jade24 contributionsEpic must do Bali adventureEpic adventure to see and experience some of the nature in the real rural Bali. Would 100% recommend! Was so much fun! Be prepared to get a bit wet and muddy and perhaps a few stumped toes along the way. We did it barefoot, but would perhaps recommend some grippy waterproof shoes/ sandals if you prefer. Guides are fantastic and have dry tube bags to take any bits you need. They also went the extra mile to get some amazing photos and videos on our own cameras along the way. the price also comes with food after the trek as well as shower facilities.Visited March 2024Travelled with friendsWritten March 4, 2024

- Vinnie ACamberwell, Australia7 contributionsFun and stunning experience. Well worth the effort.Great fun. Felt quite safe, not sure if the water levels were higher when some of the other reviews were written. The guide was very knowledgeable about where to walk, swim and stand to get through safely. My 11 and 14 yo had no trouble. Part of this canyon are truly beautiful and well worth the effort. Hot day so swimming parts of this canyon was ideal shower at the end to wash off the mud was great too.Visited July 2024Travelled with familyWritten July 26, 2024

This experience was one of the best we’ve had all holiday here in Bali. From reading about it a little online, the experience far exceeded our expectations and I couldn’t believe how quiet it was! I expected it to be extremely busy but we only saw a few others starting their trek after us.
I did read online that you could do this without a guide but this is not the case and rightly so! You definitely need the guide package they offer and there’s quite a bit included including food at the end.
We opted to do all 3 canyons which took us around 2hrs total but there was an option to do only one which would be better for those less confident swimming and climbing. My partner and I are pretty fit but it was a challenge so if you can’t swim then this isn’t for you.
It was slightly scary going into the water but our guide Mangku was an absolute pro. Big shout out to him as he helped us all the way and we felt very comfortable and confident under his guidance.
If you can do this then we HIGHLY recommend. We got there at 9am and afterwards we then went to Tegenungun waterfall as it’s not too far away and we were done by 1-2pm.

This was high up on the list of things to do for my husband and oldest child who is fourteen. Originally they were going to take a moped down from Ubud whilst l hung out at the pool with the two youngest, ages 11 and 7. However after talking to our driver he reassured us that we would all manage it. He was right, but l must add that our children are fairly gung-ho and up to try most things. It's not for children who dislike taking risks. The rocks can be slippy in places and you have to be able to trust yourself and your guide. It's really quite tame for those used to adventure but perfect for a family wanting a small taste of it. Our guides (as usual) were great with the kids and a lot of fun. If you're thinking this might be for you l would go for it. The beauty of being here in February was that we nearly had the canyon to ourselves :)

A super cool experience to make this trip through the canyon. Walking over rocks and some stretches swimming in a super nice environment. A guide will accompany you, who will also take pictures for you. Duration of the trip was 1.5 hours and then you enter 3 different gorges. After the trip you have the opportunity to shower and change and the price includes a small lunch.

I like to walk in the water and up to the canyon, used the natural swing from the root of some trees is very fun. The beautiful view along on the canyon along the river is absolutely amazing. I liked also playing the stone and made some stone pagoda. Ad the end of the adventure I visited a mini zoo where i found some big snakes and beautiful birds to play with. Highly recommended.

A great experience in a beautiful landscape.
The 1.5 hour tour through the canyon includes swimming, climbing and walking through rice fields on the way back.
Our tour guides Warja and Arjana were top! They knew every rock and guided us safely through the canyon. They also took great photos and videos of us.
The entrance fee includes the great, experienced guides, food & mineral water, showers & towels as well as garbage bags for the wet swimsuits.

We booked this tour through Klook. On site, two guides accompanied us through the 3 canyons. They steered us professionally through shallow and deep water and knew where each stone lay. They took photos and videos of us and also showed us some plants and animals. A great tour where you have to swim in part. Back through the rice fields. Then there is a towel and you can shower and change before the included lunch (that was really delicious) is served. For us, a remarkable excursion that we would recommend to people with a little adventurous spirit.

A great experience that I would do again, with an amazing guide taking photos and ensuring we were safe to jump in the water and go on a rope swing.
It was fine to do in bare feet as you could grip the rocks easier but you could bring aqua shoes if you really wanted.
The food and view at the end was great and I would come back and do this again as it was great value.

Is there somewhere safe to leave backpacks whilst doing the tour? We are planning to do this on our way down from Ubud to Seminyak so we will have our main backpacks with us. Thank you.

Yes, they provide a locker for gear - the place was very quiet when we went basically had it to ourselves and the staff are lovely and trustworthy

We booked via the balihiddencanyontour website and were picked up in Sanur by Tosa (+62 878-6195-5009). Pick-up locations on the website include Nusa Dua, so I don't suppose Uluwatu would be a problem...

Hi,
We’re hoping to visit this cave in September. Do we need to book a tour or can we just ride to the cave ourselves and pick up a guide on arrival? Is this also where the Tulsa Cepung waterfall is?
Thanks for you help in advance!

You will enjoy it)

Hi Wai Wah,
Thank you for the detailed review. My friend and I are planning to head there next week and we were wondering if it is best to hire a guide to the canyon in advance (via online) or on the day itself of visiting. If you hired your guide online, it will be amazing if you can share with us the details. Thank you!
Cheers,
Charlotte
