A very beautiful trip over the pass with great views and great driving roads. Make sure you have enough time to make a few stops along the road to take in the views and enjoy the stunning scenery and dramatic mountain pass.

Visited Albula Pass. Old trade route. Still snowed over in September. Tried a trek to Lake Palpuogna at Preda. Tough. Gave up after a while. Walked back to Albula Hospiz, around for nearly 150 years. Good food and warmth.

Make sure you get a right wagon where you can see the full panorama. The road is simply magnificent and stunning. You might move to the restaurant wagon and enjoy the view with a cup of coffee or nice meal.
