I have gone to spas all over the world and this tiny spa in a tiny town has the best massage therapist ever. Marie Claude is the owner but also a masseuse. I have been going to her for years. I have always hesitated to write as I feared the crowds that would flock to her. However the spa is now a known and well respected entity. I have never used the baths but it looks beautiful and the staff is terrific. The ambience is serene and the log cabin type setting ensures you relax the moment you step in the door.

I'm almost reluctant to review Spa Le Geyser because I don't want to let people in on the secret! It is in a beautiful spot on the Riviere Rouge, and has two hot tubs, a couple of saunas, a cold pool and cold shower, a place to jump in the river, and numerous rest areas with different types of chairs and hammocks. It's small - the day I visited there may have been eight guests. The showers and changing rooms were clean and nice, and it does not have some of the amenities of the larger spas (although you can rent towels, they ask that you bring your own, there are no bathrobes, and you need to bring a water bottle). That said, I had one of the best massages that I have ever had at Spa Le Geyser, and the peace and quiet cannot be beat. And it's a great value for the price!
