Real ale pub with no pretensions. At least two different cask ales on tap. Sky TV in one bar and peace and quiet in the other!

Really homely feel, had a meal one night sat by the fire (the haddock, cheese and leek fishcakes were excellent!) and the night before (Saturday) had a pint whilst watching a live band there...proper English pub experience and such a friendly atmosphere. Also dog friendly.

A real pub with occasional live music if you're lucky. No fancy food here – just a good selection of crisps and nuts, choice of real ales, a homely lounge and interesting fellow drinkers.
