After using this location in one of my published books we decided to visit here while we stopped in Matlock for our anniversary celebrations. The walk up was tiring but fun and the views were amazing. Worth every effort. Plenty of parking at the bottom....More

Good spot for a picnic with lots of tables and benches. Toilet facilities and space to park (pay and display). We didn't walk all the way to the top but I'm told the views are well worth it.

The black rocks are very famous in Cromford. It is a favorite to climbers. We enjoyed the walking around the huge stones peak. It is definitely a good place to visit when the weather is good.
