This castle has a homely, lived in feel to it and has the history as well. Set in its own grounds you can not only visit the house, but wander the gardens which include a walled garden, rock garden and greenhouse and there's a river...More

This was an amazing day out. The weather was very kind which really made walking round/sitting in the beautiful Rose/Walled Garden very special. The garden is wonderfully kept - simple but stunning. Well done to those who tend to it! The walks around the property...More

The gardens - especially the walled/rose garden - were the highlight of this castle. Impeccable! I also enjoyed walking through the castle and learning about its history and how it became a modern family home and estate! Very cool that it's still active. Would highly...More

11.5 pounds for castle and grounds tours. About 14 rooms to view in the castle. Self guided tour with informational sheets in each room. Also self guided around the garden and grounds. If the weather is nice this is quite enjoyable.

There was plenty to do here, we went for the grounds only ticket as felt the castle tickets were a tad expensive. The grounds were beautiful, amazing gardens and the river walk was so relaxing. There was a big play area for kids and a...More

The castle grounds are beautiful and the staff was just lovely. They learned we were from the states and point out areas or interest on the property to us. Make sure you watch the video as directed if gives you more insight to the property....More

Ballindalloch Castle in Scotlands Speyside is worth a visit if you are in the area. The sign posts to the entrance were not clear, leaving visitors confused. The cost of around £11 was enough, some concessions are applicable. The castle itself is lovely with an interesting history,it...More

This is no drafty, medieval castle. This is a glorious home the local Laird opens to the public as a piece of living history. The grounds are stunning and the coffee shop is cozy...More

Thank you for taking the time to share your impressions of your visit. You are correct, the Castle is neither draughty nor mediaeval, and the Macpherson-Grant family are very proud of their heritage, and work hard to maintain the Castle in good order. We like...More

Disappointed after reading other reviews. Walked round the castle which was brief and predictable. Not great for people with disabilities that restrict mobility as narrow stairs in places. The river walk was enjoyable and the other star of the visit were the toilets which were...More
