This is an amazing ROMAN AMPHITHERE in great condition for 1700 plus years old. But the interpretation available is very poor. Last time I visited the interpretation had vanished. I really don’t know how they make these great assets ... including the museum and the...More

This is an extremely well-preserved site. Not sure if further archaeological work is planned but it may well make it even better. One weak point was the complete lack of an information boards. These were excellent in the baths and museum. Why not here?

Well maintained remains of a Roman Amphitheatre - must have been quite a spectacle in its day - free entry. Whilst in town look for Roman Archaeology Museum and Roman Baths Museum.

It gives you a good idea of a small provincial Amphitheatre, a great green area to walk in the center of the arena, enough to give you a feeling of the place.

Went there on a sunny morning. It’s a great green area to walk around and enjoy the historical value of the site

It was possible to see exactly how this might have been n Roman times. It was a dry day so had a good walk around.

There aren't any picnic tables but as the car parking is very close (adjacent) then it's possible to take your own picnic chairs and table should you wish. Lots of grassy area to pitch up with chairs or lay blanket on the... More
