It was cloudy/rainy when our tour group took the funicular up to Cardada. This probably reduced the overall beauty of the views. At the same time, however, the clouds and dark brooding mountains gave us a different perspective of the area. There are several spots...More

The Cardada funicular lift has to be a highlight of a visit to Locarno - the view over lake Maggiore is truly impressive However we had a bad experience. Firstly the ticket office person could not speak any English which posed a problem when purchasing...More

Wonderful views of the Lake and a really nice place to walk. The only problem is the price, pretty expensive.

Enjoy the lovely view on the Lago Maggiore. There is also a nice little track for kids on the mountain. Lots of restaurants.

Took the trip even though weather was thick cloud and intermittent heavy drizzle. The ride was fun for all but there were a couple of adults with white knuckles at times. We found the tepees a great place to huddle as a group of six...More

Hi, no there isn't skating. It's basically a cable car lift for 70 people up to the first level with a viewing point and a children's play area then c chair lift to the summit to see amazing views.
