It was our second time we have visited this beautiful village. Everybody must visit this village which is not far from Limassol town. Cobblestones little lanes with big Posters of photos of people who lived in this village dislplayed on the sides of the lanes . I don't know how typical our experience was but we found the village to be amazingly quiet - we almost had the place to ourselves. Spent a happy hour just wandering the streets including the little museum places and artists studios.

Came across Lania Village in my red plated hire car, quite a few years ago but often think of the wonderful, peaceful afternoon we had there, bought two oil painted pictures in a gallery come craft shop, just as you entry the village, often wonder if it is still trading hope so it was wonderful. Then we came across a... More

Not only is the village very pretty and full of little cobbled streets with old photos of villagers posted around, but you also have the opportunity to visit the local artists in their studios and see their work, we viewed beautiful works by Michael Owen who was not home but his studio was being looked after by a friend, and... I went to Lania to meet artist Michael Owen who has made Cyprus his home. However he was not home but I met Pat Thomson and his charming wife Nicky. pat is a water colourist of superb Cypriot landscapes and although he has gone through a bad patch health wise has returned with Nicky for the summer season. I enjoyed... More

Wine produced in this village sang Homer. Stunning images of ancient Cyprus. Several museums, and all open until late at night, free for visits.

I visited Lania (aka Laneia) on my way from Limassol to the Troodos Massif and it made for a nice, short detour. The little roads in town are very narrow so it's better to park in the lot that's right before entering town. It's a small village and I had a very pleasant hour or so just meandering around, poking... More

We came here 3 times while we were in the area as we loved it! They have a beautiful garden with flowers and a big leafy walnut tree. The food is great, lots of local specialties to choose from. We recommend the Hot Cyprian Plate- delicious. The cocktails are great, as is the local wine! The owners are very friendly... More

Lania is located only 20 mins away from Limassol towards Troodos mountains and is really amazing if you just want to get away from town and relax. There is nothing much to do there but it is worth to walk around the streets of this small village as they are very picturesque as if they are taken out of books.... More

Quiet, unspoilt village away from the hum drum of Paphos! Definitely worth a visit. Nice little cafe in the car park and cheap
