The local folk in Combermere suggested this spot for a day trip. It is a short drive away from Hwy. #62 on Old Barry's Bay road. This is a free venue no cost involved. There are two entrances - the first one has the restrooms and the other just parking and picnic areas. You can reach each by the walking trails along the log slide. It is a beautiful area and the slide was really interesting for my grandchildren. The upper area is so serene and lovely. There are stairs if you choose to park in one area and head to the next so in order to see the actual water drop area go to the entrance with the restrooms. There are walking trails. Worth the stop.

Very picturesque area. Relaxing area with available picnic tables. Clean and maintained well. Safe to walk around the water chute and waterfall.

The water here comes from a short river running out of a couple of lakes nearby. It is a relaxing place to be on a summer day, with the running water and lots of places to relax near the water. It is not the most obvious place, but worth the short detour to get there.

This park is a little off the beaten track but so worth the effort to get there. The falls are beautiful and the log slide is also very interesting something
You don’t see everyday.

Great little park with a waterfall, old logging chute and a few picnic tables. No hiking trails here.

A lovely place for a picnic--beautiful scenery! The simplest way to find Crooked Slide Park is off of County Rd. 62, turn right on Old Barry's Bay Rd. Well maintained park, parking and toilets available.

Enjoyed walking around and getting photos. Very pretty place. Some people swam but we were not that brave.

We stopped in on a beautiful April weekday afternoon. We had the park to ourselves, not even a blackfly to be seen. Well-kept grounds and interesting history. Well worth a look.
