We stock in season vegetables, beef, bison, chicken, rabbit, elk, lamb, wild boar, venison, pork, turkey, fish, artisanal cheeses, maple syrup, honey, gluten-free and traditional breads, baked goods, frozen entrees, preserves, mustards, dressings, and so much more. We also have Farm Fresh Meals To Go, made using 85% locally-sourced ingredients. Join us for seasonal celebrations the last Sunday of the month from April to October where local farmers, chefs and artisans are set up selling their products. Check the website for details. We also have in-season plants for sale (flowers and vegetables), and some animals to visit.

We had our Canadian Tandem tour catered by Wendys. Box lunches contained excellent food. The containers were recyclable as well a wood fork. It is great to see Wendys take the effort to reduce waste. Wendys is not to missing when you visit the 1000 Islznds.

Wendy is a remarkable lady, never sat still as long as I've known her. Her market store is without peer in quality of the produce from her own garden, and the way she has curated dairy and protein from the surrounding area is so much more than trendy notions of 'eat local', organic, or whatever is popular today. She's a hub for what's delicious, unique, hard to do, healthy, and sustainable. Wendy is a jewel of food culture in the lower Rideau region.

Beautiful place for kids to visit some animals and to buy local fresh healthy produce at a very fair price. Owner is kind and knowledgeable.

We have been to Wendy's a few times over the summer. I always like to support local, small business. The produce and meats are fantastic. We stopped in on Saturday on the way home from Dunder Rock. Picked up a couple of Wallace Beef striploins (fantastic!), some pork chops and some fresh baked bread (for the first time). The sourdough was AMAZING! It was still warm. I'm sure the rye will be as yummy. A beautiful drive out to Lyndhurst and definitely worth the trip. For the comment from another user about price, yes, it is not cheap. But you definitely get what you pay for.

We love this place and always come back to our cottage with something special. Last visit was the perch, served fish tacos to our friends, along with just picked tomatoes. Not cheap, but we like to support our local farm families.A nice drive on the back roads.

The trip to Wendy's Country Market was a true disappointment for my wife and myself.
On the positive side, the staff were very friendly and helpful without being pushy. The market was clean and well stocked.
Since this was our first visit, we wanted to sample a few different items. Because of Covid 19, the process is to stand outside the store and the staff will get the items for you. Although the prices were listed on white boards, they were too far away for me to read. I should have asked the price of each item but I felt that that would have me perceived as being cheap. My Bad.
We bought one Ribeye steak (price we found later to be $49.99 per kg). We also tried one Beef Tenderloin (later found to be $61.73 per kg). The tenderloin was excellent (although insanely expensive). The Ribeye had so much grizzle in it that it was a very unpleasant experience to try to eat and most of it was in-edible.
The staff bragged about their grandmother's recipe for maple tarts. We bought one package of 2 tarts just to try them. The filling was quite good but the tart shell tasted like though cardboard. Each tart was about 1 1/2" in diameter @ $2 per tart.
If you are going to try Wendy's, we strongly recommend that you stay away from the meat and baked goods. The vegetables were fine and fresh.
All in all, not a location we plan to re-visit any time soon.

We got married at the neighbouring Furnace Falls Farm and fell in love with Wendy, Leah, Karen and the entire clan! Went back to the market again today and we are never disappointed. Had some lovely roasted fingerling potatoes with cherry tomatoes, green beans and scallops all from the market! And for dessert there was an amazing maple buttertart! Truly feels like visiting family and you couldn’t be supporting better people!
And they have a cute little hobby farm too! A nice little drive!

Where else would you buy corn? And cheese? And garden veg? And herbs? And special sausages?
Wendy and Leah are local legends. Everyone loves it there.

This is truly a hidden gem of a place. It has a nixe variety of local produce but also freezers full of locally sourced exotic meats (and regular meats too); water buffalo, duck breast and a huge variety of beef cuts. Not only that, but they have the best ice cream cones for miles around!

Wendy's is more than a farmer's market; it's the ultimate country experience & a great weekend day trip from Kingston for the entire family. Featuring fresh-as-it-gets local produce, high quality prepared foods & friendly farm animals the kids can feed, this vintage school house turned farmer's market stall is a family operation that has long been a staple with locals & should NOT be missed by visitors to the Lyndhurst/Rideau Lakes area!
