A lovely Loch near staffin for a swim. Very clear water (very deep). It was much colder than expected so don’t jump in straight away! Little car park and a 10 minute walk down to the loch.

The pool of clear cold water is fed by an ancient spring purported to have healing properties. While the pool is very nice, the actual spring is in the wooded area behind it and requires some careful traversal to get to. If you believe in things like the legends behind this location (pre-dating and during Christian times), it might be worth a visit. The path is easy enough to get to it, and it has a poorly marked parking area leading down to it. Legends aside, it is a nice location and worth a visit simply for the views and vibrant pooled water area.
The parking area is big enough for a half dozen vehicles but was not marked when we visited. Traveling along the main road, it is directly adjacent to the roadway and the path is easily found.

We had a quick dip in this absolutely beautiful but bloody freezing little Loch. If you are going then go on a hot day!!!

Tiny car parking area only fits 5 or 6 cars. The loch is beautiful but wouldn't recommend on a rainy day as quite a walk and muddy.
