Get on board and discover the valley of the Tarn from the river as you would have imagined ...

All along the river, your guide tell you the history of the country, its traditions and curiosities, its geology, fauna and flora.

The boat trip starts in Creissels, a small medieval village of character near Millau.

Your boatman takes you on an 9km adventure full of surprises! A beaver hut, a gray heron flight, shivering rapids, and you are under the two highest pillars in the world for a breathtaking and exclusive view of the Millau Viaduct.

At the end of the tour, you sail to the troglodyte village of Peyre drawn in the rock, to admire all the charm of this classified site.

1h30 round trip (return by minibus) - boats of 6 passengers seated maximum with 1 guide.

On your return, enjoy our relaxation area at the water’s edge : the "Canoe Cafe" proposes food and drink all day, shaded tables and deck chairs, and activities for everyone (walk of the cascades, Horse-drawn carriage, swimming, slackline, stand-up paddle & canoeing).

A modern wonder.

The Viaduct is worth a visit, it is truly impressive. A 20 minute free film at the visitors center will give you all the facts about the building of the Viaduct.

A second visit to this attraction that impressed last year. It remains very much the same. You travel three or four miles up the river Tran in flat-bottomed boats seating 6. A spritely 81-year-old in our party had no difficulty getting in an out but for anyone with mobility difficulties it would probably not be possible. The boat man takes... More

We booked this trip through the very helpful tourist information office in Millau. We arrived ahead of time & wondered down to the riverside where we had a lovely snack at the Canoe cafe whilst waiting for our allotted boarding time. A really enjoyable boat trip with spectacular views of the viaduct & Peyre. The boat trip is one-way with... More

We arrived at 16.00 h on a rainy day. However the sky cleared and we had a very good trip, just the two of us and the boatsman. The English of the schipper could have been better but he informed us well about the river in all seasons, the beaver activities, the fishermen along the river, the bridge, the vultures... More

We were blessed by a perfect day and the two-hour boat trip was the perfect afternoon activity. The walk past the fountain and stream to the departure point was beautiful and the boat trip tranquil and informative. We were withe three French speakers, so our guide had to present information twice - he rose to the occasion very well. This... More

The Bateliers du Viaduct provide a very intimate boat trip down the Tarn River underneath the Millau Viaduct. There are only 6 people per boat, so it's a very relaxing trip. We visited late in September, so we didn't have an option for an English - language tour. However the Batelier spoke some English and he periodically stopped speaking to... More

Every one who goes to the area must see the Millau Bridge, and if possible have a drive over it too. Amazing piece of engineering.

We crossed this on a sunny day so it was at its spectacular best and well worth the detour on our trip to do it but the whole Tarn valley area is beautiful and next time we will stay longerthan one night
