Stunning scenery

After a long hot walk we reached the most stunning waterful run with pools to swim in. Not really much of an area to sunbathe.

We went to the polines which are very nice swimming pools in the river. The hike was a lot longer and steeper then we anticipated. It was nice though.

Hiked up here in the summer months, it took about 45 minutes to get to the pools (Los Pilones). We went up at about 16h stayed until about 21h and it was just magical. The waters warm and crystal clear and the landscape stunning. Spring time is next, as we want to see the cherry blossom.

A really good walk up from Jerte through shaded woods and back down to a good restaurant in the village.

I did a cycling route to Los Pilones. Amazing both for fun as mountain biker and for enjoying the landscape. It seems also pretty good for hiking, birdwatching, road cycling, kayaking or just relaxing in the nature

Reserve is just outside Jerte and is a pleasant location near the river. Good bird watching opportunities.
