We walked to the Garganta de los Infiernos on an average day early may, but even then it was rather crowdy already. Be sure to have good walking shoes, the terrain isn't always smooth : the few rough cobblestone parts can be more difficult for...More

We were advised by some acquaintances to cool off on a hot day at Los Pilones, a series of natural swimming pools, at the Garganta de los Infiernos. The trailhead is easily reached from the main highway that passes through the Jerte Valley. You drive...More

Like being in the Alps! Even better at cherry blossom time. Lots of walking trails. Wild life, falcons lots of different birds of pray. Clear mountain streams to bathe in in summer.

After a long hot walk we reached the most stunning waterful run with pools to swim in. Not really much of an area to sunbathe.

We went to the polines which are very nice swimming pools in the river. The hike was a lot longer and steeper then we anticipated. It was nice though.

I did a cycling route to Los Pilones. Amazing both for fun as mountain biker and for enjoying the landscape. It seems also pretty good for hiking, birdwatching, road cycling, kayaking or just relaxing in the nature

Reserve is just outside Jerte and is a pleasant location near the river. Good bird watching opportunities.
