A visit to the Dingle Peninsula is wasted if you don't do the whole drive! Absolutely breathtaking. Just take your time and do as many of the side tracks as possible. Allow half day.

I stayed in Dingle and drove the Slea Head Drive a few times cause I was so amazed by this beautiful route. So many spots to stop for a coffee, hike, beach... I did this in November so it was off season and almost empty.

One of the most scenic drives in all of Ireland. The road around the Dingle Peninsula hugs the coast and goes from a moderately wide two lane road to a single lane that seems impassable as a two way road. Places to turn off to...More

BEautiful scenic drive with spectacular views. Hire a car and drive it yourself. Just beware that the roads are very narrow. Beautiful even in the rain.

Provides for an enjoyable and well-spent day trip out of Dingle. Plenty of scenic highlights, historical sites and activities to suit everyone including trips out to the Blasket islands if so desired. We left our accommodation early, around 9:30am, for this trip which was a...More

We took the drive early on a Friday morning in November. We made sure to drive clockwise based on reviews of tour buses but we didn't see any. The castle and the Irish famine cottages were closed for the season. We were able to see...More

We did an early sunrise drive and it was amazing! Quiet as everyone and everything was barely rising. Sunrise along the sights were breathtaking. We had an appointment later in the morning so we were a little pressured by time. Took us about 2 hours...More

What a drive, what a place! Added this to our trip to Dingle and we're overwhelmed by the amazing coastline and scenery. Must be one of the best drives in the world. Fabulous weather helped!

There's a lot to see on this drive: The beautiful sandy beach at Ceann Tra, the Beehive Huts, the Gallarus Oratory and the stunning cliff views. Give yourself a half day - more if you want to linger.

The day was rainy, misty and cold. We didn't know the drive, one lane road. Over looks the ocean. When we got close to the end, the sun started to come out. It was like a dream or a perfect picture. We were there in...More

There are plenty of pull offs to get some great picks and walk around a bit. Just give yourself time to enjoy it and do not rush through. Dingle the town is great to walk around and explore.

It is basically a big loop leaving from and returning to Dingle. You need to give yourself a minimum of 4-5 hours to do it justice.

We drove the Slea Head Drive out of Dingle last October. No issues. Plenty of places to pull over and park and take in the wonderful views.
