If I could do minus points, I would for this dump. You have to show up an hour early, not because they want to walk you through a safety briefing…no…but because it takes half an hour for everyone to take their boots off so you don’t walk on their precious precious floors. And if you forget something in the car, good luck to you - you will have to go through the hassle twice.
How about spending some of that money, visitors pay you, to make a proper entrance where little children and adults don’t have to take off their boots a hundred times!
The safety briefing is terrible! They might say they explain it in French and English but the English in incomprehensible and if you ask questions you get eye rolls. If you are a beginner DO NOT go with these guys or your life will be in danger. I personally saw so many near accidents, I was tense the entire time.
Then once you start snowmobiling if you are unlucky enough you will just go in circles because some routes are closed, unsafe…blah blah. Riding on the frozen lake was fun…but that’s about it.
Trust me on this, find a different company!

We chose the half-day snowmobiling tour, which we found very enjoyable. The guide spent just the right amount of time explaining how to drive a snowmobile, no time felt wasted. Ending the ride on the frozen lake was the highlight of our day. The pictures do not do the scenery justice. They provide you with all the necessary gear to brave the elements, but dress warmly underneath regardless. My main reason for writing today was a selfless act of kindness from the snowmobile company. Once our snowmobile ride was over, our car got stuck in the snow on the way back to Montreal in the aftermath of a big snowstorm. With all the towing companies around busy with the many accidents of the day, we phoned arctic adventure for help. They immediately drove over and offered their help, towing our car out of the snow. They truly went above and beyond to help us out, expecting nothing in return. This honest review is the best I can do to thank them.

Went today and such a blast!
Really professional - they have all the gear you need including boots. However we had our own ski gear so wore that and was perfectly warm. I use crutches and have a disability so I can’t get my boots on and off, so waited in the hallway whilst everyone got ready. The staff were great and along with my husband made sure I had everything I needed. My disability wasn’t a problem which was great - made me feel welcome, which sometimes I struggle with.
I used my crutches to get to the snowmobile and Steve, our guide, ran my crutches back inside. My husband and I had the more powerful snowmobiles so went at the back of the group. There were 7 snowmobiles I think. We had a beautiful morning - bright blue, sunny sky and a light dusting of snow. Not too cold either.
As I was worried about falling off (having a disability makes me more cautious) so Steve was happy for us to go at the back and every so often the group took a break whilst we caught up. No one made us feel like we were slowing them down this way. The trail was fabulous - lots of big hills, small hills, fun corners, a few road crossings and 2 chances to blast across a huge lake! The first time I was a little hesitant and the second time I really picked up some speed. It was thrilling!
A few years ago I wasn’t sure if I would still be alive today, so being out on this adventure and in an amazing setting I am truly blessed! If every you think things are too hard, just try it - you might surprise yourself!
My husband would have liked me to go faster as he is a motorcycle rider and loves the adventure, but he did get a chance to blast passed me on the lake. We are hoping we got some great footage as we had 3 go pros on us.
Thanks to everyone for a great morning and a fabulous trail!

A family run operation with an amazing experience to share with you! Coming from the U.S. we were trying to figure out where to rent, how to get there, what to bring, how much it would cost, etc. Despite the slight language barrier, the woman on the phone was super helpful! After deciding to spend the night in a nearby hotel at a ski resort in order to get a 9 am start (the trails are definitely better in the morning), we arrived to discover they have EVERYTHING you need! Boots, mittens, snow bibs, jackets and helmets. And some great snow machines. The young man getting us on the sleds was helpful and very nice, including providing a very good trail map (the trails are groomed and very well marked - it was like riding on a highway).
3 1/2 hours later we had explored beautiful woods on great trails, my 15 year old son had an adventure of his lifetime, and the return process was quick and efficient.
Great operation, great people, awesome trails, and beautiful countryside. Just do it! Canada is great!

We took a group snowmobiling excursion with Arctic Aventure on Feb 9, 2018. The entire day was outstanding in every way.
Reservation/Check-in Process-We were a group of 6 travelling from Nashville, TN, Honolulu, and Tulsa, OK so we had quite a few moving pieces on this trip. I asked tons of questions via email in the months and weeks leading up to the trip and the owners were very kind and patient to answer all my questions. When we arriving at 9AM today, the check-in process was super easy. They had all of the waivers all laid out for us and the facility was immaculate. I've rented in West Yellowstone 4 times, Banff, and Michigan, and this place was the most efficiently run snowmobile operation I've seen. The employees were friendly, the gear was in good shape, and we were on our way in just a few minutes.
Snowmobiling-We were paired with a guide named Julian for our 9-5 snowmobile excursion. His first language was French but his English was also pretty good. He was a super nice guy and kept us safe and having fun all day long. It was interesting hearing about his experiences guiding for 4 years in Quebec. The trails were in excellent condition because the local club grooms 3x a week. The sleds were in good working order and we all really liked Black Mountain and the 2 lakes we sledded on. One of our 6 sleds broke down but luckily it was 430PM and we were only 4 km from the shop. It was a mechanical failure which happens quite often with the wear and tear these machines take. In the past, I've had to haggle with ownership about repairs but the owners acknowledged it was a mechanical issue (not human error) and they didn't charge us.
All in all it was a great experience. We went 140 km and had a nice stop for lunch. If you're looking for a snowmobiling outfitter in Quebec, look no further. Book with Arctic Aventure and you'll have a great time. Thanks Julian and team. Keep up the good work.

The guide and the manager of the operation were both exceedingly nice, and everything was handled professionally. I would recommend this place to anyone looking to snowmobile.

These boys run a great operation from basically their house and a large garden shed. Close to 4 hours of riding through the beautiful Quebec trails. Good powerful machines - I'm 260lb and the thing never felt sluggish even on the steepest of hills. Friendly guide and staff. In short - highly recommended.

We were the first tour of the season- a group of 4, accompanied by 2 guides. Riding for 3 hours, starting at -7 degrees, ending at 5PM at -13... We got the best Arctic equipment- boots, trousers, coat, gloves and helmets. If you don't have your own Balaclava (face cover), you'll have to rent one. The equipment is so good, that even in these low temperatures and the speed of ride, you don't feel the cold. The Ski-Doo snowmobiles are intuitive and easy to ride. The woods are beautiful. and for someone like me, who comes from a sunny country with hardly any snow, it was one of the best experiences I had! It's not cheap- with everything, including the fuel that you pay for, it will cost around CAD 220 + tip. But it's worth it!

Let me start by saying that this is an amazing experience and the staff is great!!! I went on a full day snowmobile adventure, which included transportation from Montreal, two weeks ago for a bachelor party (2/20/16).
Magalie handled our reservation which was seamless from beginning to end. She even was able to find a watch that one of the guys had lost in the van and ship it back to us. Julian was our guide and was extremely safe, helpful and fun. He allowed us to have our space while riding and was still able to coordinate our group and keep us together.
This trip included all of the necessary gear, even for a couple of the guys who are very big. The gear provided was perfect, we were never cold at all. We rented the 900s which were in great condition with plenty of power. The trails are well maintained and take you through the woods and over lakes. We even went into a sand pit like area that allowed us to free ride a bit and included some steep inclines and declines. Fun!!!
I've been snowmobiling before in Vermont and that paled in comparison to this trip. That said, I will definitely be back and will absolutely use Artic Adventure when I go!!!

I have spent a week with Artic Aventure, snowmobiling during 4 days and also discovered dog sledding another day. Magalie and Nicolas really take care of me and tried to accommodate so my dream could become true. Both them and their staff were professional and it was a real pleasure to spend the week together!
