Thre transport run till 5:00pm. Jeep takes 100 Rs per ride from and to Siliguri. Anyone can go to Mirik from Darjeeling also. I suggest... More

It is a beautiful place. A beautiful lake on the hill. If you want to go to Darjeeling, plan your tour from Bagdogra/New Jalpaiguri/Siliguri via Mirik. The beautiful landscapes in two sides of the road are awesome.

Visit Mirik only if you have time for detour from NJP/Siliguri/Bagdogra on the way to Darjeeling or vice versa. There is a small lake with boating facility. Counter opens at 10:30 AM. Water is stagnant and hence dirty and bit foul smelling. The climate was wonderful when I visited. Good to spend 30-40 mins on the way to Darjeeling. The... More

Govt has ignored Mirik Lake though advertisement s there on airport. I feel I wasted time, money and opportunity by visiting Mirik Lake,. Water is dirty and surroundings not worth appreciable on most directions , only one direction has good look of trees. Few ducks are there but atmosphere is not enjoyable. Feel sorry for the hotel owners and locals... More

But no vehicles allowed you will have to walk or take Nepal taxi. For Mirik trip we were charged 2500/- for a sumo vehicle. We went from Gangtok... More

A little hamlet in the mountains with tea estates all around. A lovely place to relax and unwind. About 2 -3 hrs easy drive from Bagdogra airport.

The journey to Mirik amidst picturesque roads canopied by pine trees and surrounded by tea plantations offers much more than Mirik, the destination that is only known for its lake that offers boating.Sadly, there's nothing else that Mirik can boast of.
