Now that Hawai‘i has severely restricted access to the Capt. Cook monument in Kealakekua Bay, I was real worried about having to go on a kayak tour. We tried Aloha Kayak. Our guides J and Cricket took away all my concerns. There was no fake Hawaiian junk (can you say "ALOH HA"). Just good guides who can help new kayaker/snorkelers,... More

We took at tour to Kealakekua Bay through Aloha Kayak. They did a great job teaching us the history of Captain Cook, the monument, and of the area in general. The kayak to the snorkeling spot was beautiful - we saw spinner dolphins jumping. The snorkeling was amazing - definitely the best I've seen, next to Haunauma Bay on Oahu.... More

Creating wonderful memories especially from traveling is all about the kind people you meet and the experiences you have along the way. I wanted to participate with my family in their adventures, though as a non-swimmer, was not extremely excited about what was planned: two very active water activities! Let alone on the same afternoon! I've never kayaked and snorkeled... More

Aloha Kayaks is one of only a handful of companies who are licensed to take kayak tours in Kealakekua Bay to visit and snorkel at the Captain Cook monument. The excursion started with a very interesting and colorful lesson on the history of Captain Cook's voyages and his experiences and ultimate demise in the Hawaiian Islands. After the history lesson,... More

Some of the best snorkeling in hawaii - great kayaking too. Dolphins, fish, even learned about hawaii history. Trevor was patient and an awesome guide - call ahead of time and make sure he's leading the trip!

This was our first time kayaking not in a river and it was a really enjoyable experince. Before the trip we got a nice history lesson on Captain Cook. While kayaking, we saw dolphins out in the bay. It was amazing. Our guide, Trevor, was great. He was nice and knowledable of the area. The snorkeling near the monument was... More

The Captain Cook Monument tour was PHENOMENAL. Our guides, Cricket ant Makai, were EXCEPTIONAL! They exuded good humor and confidence, and showed incredible patience with even the most inexperienced paddlers in our group. They were also EXTREMELY good with our two kids, who weren't always comfortable with the paddling and snorkeling. Their flexibility helped ensure that my wife and I... More

We booked our trio through Viator.com but Viator didn't communicate with Aloha Kayak. When we called to confirm the trip, the time we had scheduled was full. Since we had limited flexibility, the owner "pulled some strings" to get us In & we are grateful he did. We had a great time on this trip with Cricket & Jaye but... More

A great trip out to Captain Cooks monument! We enjoyed the history and the kayaking over was fantastic. Once there the snorkeling was far better than we expected - dozens of varieties of fish. Guides Will and Trevor were expert at getting people in and out of the water easily and landing the kayaks. A fantastic trip with Aloha Kayak.

Iwa and Cricket, and the other staff whose names I didn't get were all cheerful, helpful and knowledgeable. Our experience with Aloha Kayak Company couldn't have been better. Iwa was very informative and helpful on the phone when we made reservations, and the morning tour to Capt. Cook's monument was fun and educational from beginning to end. The snorkeling, of... More
