Alba is a truly beautiful place, not too crowded and very laid back.
As we were staying in the centre, we walked through the old town every day in every direction.
Great to see old buildings in fabulous condition and no roads dug up!

Alba is a lovely, historical and gastronomic city. Great place for a visit. Either for shopping, dining or visiting museums, Alba has a lot to offer. During our stay there was a wine, art and food festival. Just pay for a glass (hang it around your neck) and taste the many available wines.

We have been to Alba now on four occasions and on our last visit we stayed in an apartment in the Centro Storico whereas previously we had stayed outside of town and made day trips.

The old town is enclosed within a ring road that weaves around the town's circumference. There is lots of paid parking areas off this ring road as Alba has largely restricted vehicle entry to residents. The absence of cars and the very flat terrain makes for pleasant walking along the cobbled and paved streets and for sight seeing.

There are a number of beautiful churches, including the Cathedral, as well as branded up market shops (particularly along the Corso Vittorio Emanuele), restaurants, cafes, stately mansions and a variety of towers of different heights (although not as many as it appears there used to be) signs of wealth and power. The main Piazza Risorgimento (or Piazza Duomo) is quite lovely being dominated by the Cathedral..

We particularly recommend a visit on Saturday when the towns streets and squares become very busy markets. The fresh produce available in Piazza Pertinace was quite stunning.

Very nice city center, not many cars allowed in town. Good shopping and restaurant facilities. And a nice cathedral.

This is a pretty town, and a short drive from Turin. It is small and compact and it was lovely strolling along the narrow streets.

Worth checking out if you like wine and especially if you are interested in white truffles!

I really loved the town of Alba. Every street is beautiful and there are many places to see, eat and buy regional products. The cathedral is worth a visit.

This town is an ideal place for both exploring the Barolo and Barbaresco areas, as well as walk between many wine shops. Plenty of nice bars and restaurants where you can enjoy their lovely local food – and don’t forget, Alba is the truffle center.

One day visit. Milan as compared to other Italian cities is very clean and full of interesting places to visit; it's very crowded and it's difficult to find an iconic place where to have lunch without spending a future. On the contrary, it's full of coffee shops or fasrt food places therefore mine is a simple opinion which doesn't affect my good opinion towards this very posh European city.

Alba is known for white truffles and Borolo wine. Town centre has some cute streets with shops and foody places. The main square where the duomo is seems to be the centre of action. It comes alive in Nov. with the truffle festival. Many AirBnB in this area. Day trips from here will take you to castles, churches and wineries. Countryside is lovely.
