This is a wonderful place in the Dolomites when the weather is kind. Thunderstorms and rain clouds often arrive mid to late afternoon throughout summer so it is worth making an early start for the best experience and decent photos.

During our three passes trip from Toblach to Deutschnofen this was the ideal opportunity for a stop. The Sass Pordoi is reached from Passo Pordio. Connections are frequent, like every 10 minutes, but I can see these to be crowded with waiting times in winter....More
