You get to this by paying at the train station for Casttelmmare Di Stabia and going along the train platform. It goes up 1km and gives you fantastic views over the bay of Naples.. Feels safe and very smooth. It can get a bit chilly on top of the mountain. There's a bar up there and a few walks you... More

Can't believe how good this was! This is not advertised enough! The cars run every hour from a small station. Starts slow but the views are amazing! A must activity if you're in Stabia

omg i got such a shock when i first saw this cable car height. i was really nervous and scared. But once on and it started it was so smooth. lovely views on the way up. Once at the top you can walk down to the point where if its a clear day you get a fantastic view. we took... More

We went up the mountain and was astounded by the views (even if it was a bit hazy). We went for a short walk to the view point where there are two bars, the one we choose was very reasonable and we spent a very pleasant afternoon there. There are options for longer walks and for cycle hire both normal... More

we got an early train from Sorrento and managed to avoid waiting very long to board the cable car. once at the top the views are great, there is a bar/café at the top and we took a walk around.

Well worth a visit. Cable car is very smooth, and you get amazing views at the top! Turn right out of the station at the top and head to bellvedere where you get the best view! It's a 15 minute walk down 100 steps but worth it and there are 2 restaurants to relax at once you get there. Walk... More

Loved the Funivia and went to Monte Faito twice. It starts at the Circumvesuviana railway station in Castellammare Di Stabia where you buy your tickets. Very pleasant walks from the upper stop and there is a cafe in the square . If you take the path to the right as you exit the Funivia at the top of Monte Faito... More

Surprisingly not well publicised, this attraction is well worth a visit. A short train ride out of Sorrento offers a spectacular trip up the "mountain" from where you can walk through the forests to clearings offering the most amazing views.

The Funvia is a fantastic way to get up high and see some beautiful views of the area. You have to buy the ticket from the ticket desk in the metro station and then walk a little bit down the platform to enter. The cable car ride itself doesn't take very long and once at the top you do get... More
