The two main characteristics of the Underground museum, are the spring water lake situated at 25 m below the ground level and the Etruscan epigraphic collection which is the largest in the world with more than 500 urns and tiles. You will enjoy guided tours through an interesting millennial path unchanged over the years.

Excellent tour with very good bilingual guide. The tour starts about ground and then goes underground, some stairs. Well worth making the effort to find

A fascinating trip in the underground etruscan and medieval old Chiusi. A well maintained path among antiques makes the visitor come back to very old times. The young lady who guided us was friendly and explained the history of Chiusi since the Etruscan era.

Discover how deep underground, below the piazza in Chiusi there are narrow passages, canals, a huge water tank, mostly built after the Etruscans died out, but still fascinating. Bring a torch and suitable shoes (some paths may be quite wet).

Not much is about this elusive, but powerful civilization that preceded the Roman Empire, but they left behind many tombs and artifacts. The best place to see this incredible piece of history is in Chiusi. Visit the museum which is centrally located in the centro...More
